Knights of Columbus Insurance

Since our founding in 1882, the primary mission of the Knights of Columbus has been to protect Catholic families from the financial ruin caused by the death of the breadwinner.  For this reason we were founded as a fraternal benefit society for Catholic men.

In the beginning, Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney and his fellow Knights “passed the hat” to benefit the widows and orphans in the event of a member’s death.  There was also a benefit available in the event of sickness which prevented a member from working to support his family.

From that humble start, the Order has grown to include top-rated life insurance, disability income insurance, long-term care insurance, and retirement annuities.

With more than $85 billion of insurance in-force and more than 1,400 full-time professional field agents serving our members and their families, we are proudly fulfilling Fr.
