State Raffle Tickets were available and distributed at the State Convention. They are packaged in books of 6 tickets at the cost $5.00 for a book of 6 tickets. The big change this year will be that the tickets will be stapled on the Right side of the ticket making it easier to tear off the stubs for submission. This change was based on feedback from Grand Knights at last year's State Ball.
The family of the month program is a program that allows our councils to recognize families that are symbolic of true family life. Nominees of this award are families that are seen together and active in our councils, churches, and communities. The program is an established program from Supreme that requires the councils to utilize form 1993A or the online link listed below to nominate families for this award. Each council should recognize a deserving family each month with entries due by the 15th of each month for the previous month’s nominee. All nominees are entered into the quarterly State drawing and also the Supreme monthly award. For additional questions please contact the State Family Dir., Matt Ruger via email at mruger11@comcast.net or at (603) 887-7612.
Family of the Year Nominations -
Please also note that you should be working on your submissions for the State family of the year nominations. Nominations for the State family of the year should be submitted no later than March 15th. Nomination submissions should detail the reasons that the nominated family is deserving of the recognition of this prestigious State family award. A couple of paragraphs will not suffice. Submissions should be a well written “story” on why the family is being nominated. Please send these to me before the deadline in order to have your nominations included in the selection of this award.
State Retreat
Peace and renewal
CANCELLED November 9th-11th, 2007 CANCELLED
Had enough?
Enough noise? Enough work? Enough of the mundane troubles around you taking away from what’s really important?
Do you want the Holy Spirit, the Giver of Life, to inspire you more? More time to hear His voice? More of His peace? His renewal?
For years, the brothers of the New Hampshire Knights of Columbus have gathered together for one weekend a year to rediscover their faith and energize their hearts. Thanks to the elegant and beautiful Franciscan Retreat and Convention Center in Andover, Massachusetts, the State Council prays, learns, and re-orients itself to following the Gospel.
You need to be there, too—united with your brothers in becoming better
Catholics and men.
Study the scripture. Worship at Mass.
Leave on Sunday afternoon a wiser, more Spirit-filled man. Because when it comes to His truth, you can never have enough
Franciscan Center is a Retreat and Conference Center. It is a ministry of the Franciscan Friars, Order of Friars Minor, Province of the Immaculate Conception, New York. The staff of the Franciscan Center is committed to sponsoring and hosting spiritual, religious, educational, and cultural programs consistent with their tradition as Roman Catholics and Franciscans.
As Franciscans they strive to serve all people, especially the poor. In the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, they celebrate the gift of life in all creation, and they recognize God's loving presence in the world.
During the NH Knights of Columbus State Retreat, you will hear presentations from the Center’s staff, worship God at Mass and in prayer groups, and grow in brotherhood with your fellow Knights. Return the response form inside with your reservation payment, which includes all meals Saturday, and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. Be sure to specify single or double occupancy
