GREENLAND — Frank O. Brown Jr., 64, of Greenland, died peacefully in his sleep, at home, Tuesday, April 1, 2008.
He was born in Worcester, Mass., on Oct. 14, 1944, to Frank and Doris Brown. Frank grew up at his father's home in Maine, and graduated from New Sharon High School in 1962.
After high school, Frank joined the Navy, and was a proud graduate of the U.S. Naval Aviation Officer Candidate School in 1965. While in the Navy, Frank had the distinction and skill to land planes on moving airstrips.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 16 years, Egizia Brown; a grandson, Luke Bailey; two stepsons, Jerry Bailey and wife Pam, and Daniel Bailey; two brothers and a sister, Denis Brown and wife Raquel, Jeffery Brown and wife Audrey, and Janis Dumas and husband Roger; four nephews, Raymond, Ian, Wyatt and Virgil; two nieces, Sara and Malina; a great-nephew, Gabriel; and two great-nieces, Leah and Rachel.
WE REMEMBER: After the military, Frank went on to earn a B.S. in mathematics and computer science from the University of Maine in 1972. In 1977, Frank began a career in the nascent high-tech industry at Data General Corp., as an engineering director. His career lasted for over 25 years in this boom and bust industry, and he was an active participant in the computer revolution.
Frank was a loving husband, brother, stepfather and grandfather.
He was a devout Catholic, an active member of the Corpus Christi Parish, a Knight of Columbus in Council No. 140, and a 4th degree member of Saint Mary's Assembly No. 1445.
Frank was an adventurous and kind soul with a keen intellect and a great wit. He flew planes and sailed boats for fun in his youth. Frank could see the humor in any situation and had a belly-busting laugh that infected those around him. He kept a military precision throughout his life, and relished in the comforting sound of clock bells. He traveled extensively with his wife, especially to Italy. Throughout his life, Frank always kept a passion for technology and had the newest gadget years before it was popular.
Frank extended kindness and generosity to all those around him. He had a peaceful manner that welcomed those near him to share his life. Frank is a beautiful soul who will be deeply missed and always cherished.

Parents of Brother Tim Kingsley, FS Nashua 13904 - September 25, 2007

My Dear Brothers All, I'm asking for prayers for my parents. At this time my dad is in ICU at the Lawrence General Hospital. He is fighting a staph infection of the blood, infection in the lower bones of his spine (very painful), a urinary tract infection, his liver is failing in two ways, it no longer cleans the ammonia out of his blood and it won't sustain the sodium levels in his system. He's lucid one minute and hallucinating the next. Mom is in another building in the same hospital. She has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Her heart has deteriorated faster than the heart specialist expected. Combined with the advanced COPD and other illnesses she is in tough shape. They have been married for over 60 years and it hurts them both to be separated like this. Please pray for the Lord's will in this matter!

Many Thanks to all,

Tim Kingsley, FS Nashua 13904

SK Richard Noel - August 4, 2007

The following dispatch was sent by SK Jordan Ulery requesting the charity of your prayers for SK Richard Noel. SK Noel is a long time member of C122. He briefly left that council to help start ours at St. Joe's. He is a charter member and our first warden. His council of record is C122. He made his 4th degree in 1995. It is with heavy heart that I report the nearing terminal phase of life for SK Richard Noel. Richard underwent surgery recently at St. Joseph Hospital in an attempt to extend his life by the insertion of a gastric feeding tube. Unfortunately, years of smoking have taken their toll. Richard is in Hillcrest Harborside on Crosby Street in Milford and would really enjoy the company of his family, his brother knights over the next week. He is in hospice care at that facility. Please pray for Richard for a peaceful death and at long last reunion with our Lord and Savior.
